The game was created in 2011 in order to replace the German wedding custom of sawing a log with something less exhausting and dirty. The couple is controlled with a pair of joysticks. First players have to walk their characters to the starting positions at the sawbuck. When arrived, their task is to push and pull the saw as fast as they can by rhythmically moving the joysticks from left to right and back. At the end they get a nice round of applause by the digital guests and their score is being displayed.
The game celebrated its premiere at my brother’s wedding. The music (Erics Wedding March) was composed by Andreas Slotte (Ghormak).
